Working on the Yard!

it's a hard knock life for us!!
See...if she's not working outside, she's working inside. Mommy is so proud.
Mommy and Abi: Matching outfits...matching dirt!
Already taking a break for her first trip to the Ice Cream Truck.
Abigail eating the entire popsicle and not sharing!
Pictures of the crap! Stones pilied up a mile.
Fence tools and mud. I mean for those of you who have never seen that before.

The poles from the previous yard. I dug up each pole by myself.
Cool spray painted yard. It's the new look.
A different view of the trashiest yard in the housing complex.
Go ahead...you deserve it. We all do!

We are trying to get our yard together for Abigail's first birthday party in two weeks. It feels like we are never going to accomplish it. Eric works every night until 7pm, then we put in a good couple of hours before we head to bed. I work on it all day. Now... you're asking yourself, "it's a freaking fence! How hard can it be?". Well....let me explain. We dug up 175ft of fence from a couple who is headed back to the states. Our yard is only 120ft. Of course all different demensions. SO>>>we have to cut the poles to fit our yard...with a hack saw. First, Eric has to sledge hammer the concrete that had already exsisted. Of course, we all know he didn't just get it over with. He had to make a game out of it. How many hits does it take to get to the pole? His lowest was four. I was impressed considering it took me about 80 and I think I saw a chip fly off. While we were pulling the fence, we were offered about 80 stones. You can't have that stuff in your yard when you vacate. Eric doesn't turn down free alcohol, but he will in a heartbeat, turn down anything free that requires work when it is turned over. You know me...I don't decline free stuff. I'll figure out something. I washed every stone. I primered every block stone and spary painted every block stone. Now they are pilied up because I have to wait until my "self help project" paper work is approved. The project is to lay out a small patio in front of the shed for Eric to put his grill on. I now have to water the lawn like crazy and let it grow high. I am hoping once I mow it on the lowest setting, it will clear the spray paint stencil I have created on my lawn. The jagged stones are going to be the border for my flower bed. So there..now it's not just putting a fence, now is it? I'll be taking pictures when it's done. Before you ask...no! No one has offered to help. They will suit up and fight for our country, but hell if I see them poppin' there heads out to lend a neighbor a hand. They are in there houses peeking out the window and saying, "that poor guy! He is out there with his freaking wife". HA!!! Just kidding!
Take care everyone...I'll be talking to you when we finish.
